If you have a love for sports, this weekend is a real treat. Formula One, Tennis, and Football are all here this weekend.
Saturday turned out to be a spectacular day for F1 and Tennis, with Louis Hamilton clinching a superb P1 at the last minute, and Serbia’s Ana Ivanovic defeating Russia’s Dinara Safina in the women’s final match of the French Open, Roland Garros.

Sunday looks promising already. The big one — Roger Federer vs. Rafael Nadal facing off in the men’s final of the French Open (tonight at 7 pm), promises to be a real treat to watch. It’s Federer’s narrow 6-2, 5-7, 6-3, 7-5 win against Gael Monfils, against Rafael Nadal’s dominant 6-4, 6-2, 7-6 (3) victory over Novak Djokovic that clearly shows who has the edge for today’s game. What’s more, Nadal has NEVER lost at the Roland Garros.
Right after the final, Race Day kicks of at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, Canada, (at 10.30 pm) with the big 4 – Hamilton, Kubica, Raikkonen and Alonso on the first two grids. With everybody complaining about the poor track condition, one can expect lots of spins and perhaps a crash or two as the race progresses on. If Saturday’s qualifying session was anything to go by, Race Day will sure as hell be exciting.
Oh, and about the Euro 2008, somebody please fill me in on the action. I’m not following the Euro 2008. And also, with all the action going on, did I miss something? Cricket perhaps?

“Nadal has NEVER lost at the Roland Garros.”

I’m a big time Federer fan
After all, It’s Nadal’s speciality – clay court
Well, Euro 2008′s going on fine. The scores were
Switzerland 0-1 Czech Republic
and
Portugal 2-0 Turkey
There is a Germany – Poland match today which may be worth watching.

Omkar – Another century by Peterson? Nice! And Ana Ivanovic sure does have talent.
Pranav – I’m a Federer fan as well, but you have to agree that Nadal is superb on the clay court. IMO, I think he might just win today. And Germany vs. Poland, that sounds interesting. Hope it doesn’t clash with the French Open final or the Canadian GP.

The two men featured in the pictures above, the ones I thought would win, were knocked out _royally_.
Federer was beaten senselessly by Nadal. I don’t even want to talk about that.
As for F1, who could have guessed that the man taken away in a stretcher last year would win this year’s Canadian GP? Amazing. Of course, he had help from Hamilton’s amazing stupidity of not stopping at the pit stop red light, and not to mention FIA’s lame rules put forth by Max Mosley. Amazing race though. Canadian GP is always amazing.
